ALS & BLS
We’re Experts in Medical Transportation
Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support are two different forms of ambulance medical requirement. ALS generally involves advanced clinical monitoring and/or intervention. All ALS events operate with a minimum of 1 Paramedic, while BLS can be managed by EMT’s.
Monitoring and/or Interventions that classify as ALS include, but are not limited to advanced airway management, cardiac monitoring, intravenous infusions, medication administration through various routes, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
BLS level monitoring and/or intervention may entail medical supervision, basic airway management, CPR & AED, limited medication administration, and first aid.
